For a very good reason!

I feel as if the Apple II world is getting fragmented and demoralized.
Maybe it started when Apple discontinued the IIGS. But, I feel as if
there's been way too much nit-picking and fighting amoung ourselves, and
I'd like to do something to change that. It's as if we're all frustrated,
but don't really know what to do with that negative energy, except direct
it to our associates.

As I guess most people know, I make my living with my Apple II. It started
out as a hobby, and I was lucky enough to turn that hobby into a new
career. Back in late 1986, I realized that I'd never get rich working with
the Apple II, so I made a vow to myself that I would keep at it for as
long as it was fun. Well, some of the fun has started to wear off as a
result of the flames and in-fighting. I'd like to bring some of that magic
back. We all know what a great system the Apple II is, and we all know how
wonderful that sense of comraderie can feel. So, I just think that we need
to end the fighting and be friends again.

Of course we can have our disagreements, but somehow, just somehow, I feel
that we are the future of the Apple II and if we want "Apple II Forever"
to be more than just an empty slogan, we have to rise above our
differences and we have to work together.

The future is in our hands. I guess I'm just trying to do my part to
insure that the future is bright and a good one.
