How to start Beta testing? [R(140)]

I have been using my Apple IIGS for 4 years now and an old IIc
for 8 years and I have always wanted to do Beta testing or play
testing, but I never knew how to get started with it or even
who to talk to about it.  Since I have lived in Europe for the 
last 8 1/2 years I have not been quite in the computing mainstream :)
and have been frustrated by not being able to become more involved
in the Apple Community. I have just recently been able to start
communicating with the rest of you and have found it very exciting
and interesting and it has also re-kindled the desire for more
involvement. If anyone out there can point me in the right direction
or just give me some small piece of information I would be most
grateful.
