My Zip 7/8 came with a 32mhz crystal in X2 (which actually made it run 8/8)
and no oscillator in X1.  I removed the crystal from X2 and added the
oscillator in X1. (8 pin type, not 14)

Depends if you get half-size or full-size oscillators.

Mine is also a 1.02.

My  Zip didn't even HAVE a picture on the box.  Ordered it straight
from Zip tech (which of course, I got rotten service.  I ordered
it, they said it was in and would be here in 2 days, which in fact,
they were backordered, and it took >3 weeks.)
