$#^@!! AE power supply
I recently (about 3 months ago) bought an AE "heavy-duty" GS power supply
through Quality Computers...AE had already gone out of selling the things,
but QC was able to get them. It came in an AE box, with an AE sticker and
all the documentation, warranty info etc. so it is indeed the "real thing".
However, when I flipped the switch today, nothing happened. Zilch. It just
sat there cold. I hadn't noticed any problems with it when using it last
night (although I was never as impressed with it as I'd like to have been).
My question is: Should I bother contacting AE about it? They don't sell the
things anymore, but it does have a one-year-from-date-of-purchase warranty.
I _do_ need a better power supply; I'm back to my stock 1986-7 Apple supply
now and it's making that annoying, worrying high-pitched whine that drove
me to buy a supposedly-heavier-duty supply in the first place.
Wish I hadn't had to sell my Innerdrive...
A pox forever on AE...
