Yes and no...

There are at least 2 versions of the UDC. I have the 2nd version which will
not operate a UniDisk 3.5 (I tried - the manual eject worked but the card
did not recognise that the 3.5 existed) but WILL operate a Mac 800k drive
(very slowly) and a Mac clone (Mitsubishi innards) 800k (at a reasonable
speed).
