Like heck you didn't receive an adequate response... as usual you just 
couldn't be bothered to make an ADEQUATE EFFORT and download the Aztec C 
cross-compiler for the Commodore 64 from my website... a review of that 
compiler would answer all your questions and more... here's one of my posts 
in that thread...

Not me.

Aztec C for the C64 is a great cross-compiler as anyone who knows anything
at all about writing C programs in Windows that run on the C64 knows and it
is of course K&R.
