GS/OS and IRQs - strange thing
SOS!
The toolbox wants to confuse me.
I want to execute a GS/OS call within an interrupt handler. I know that
this is not possible, thus I'm using the $01FC88 signal queue outside
the actual IRQ routine. (A program can post via this address tasks that
need to be executed when the system is not busy.) Now the funny party
of the story:
When I call this routine at 01FC88 within a heartbeat task, the program
crashes at 01FC8C (+/-2).
When I'm using BindInt (GS/OS call) and call 01FC88 within a 1-second
or 1/4-second IRQ routine, it works fine.
BTW: I think I've read somewhere that the quarter second IRQ is
reserved for AppleTalk. Is that correct and/or should I use another
one??
WHAT'S THE DEAL???
Thanks for any hot tips you might have!
