Well maybe this post isn't strictly about Apple II's, but another way
to run DOS (horrors!) on a Mac (blasphemy!) is to pick up an 386 or 486
coprocessor NuBus card made by Orange-Micro of Grappler fame. These cards
are full x86 computers on a board, with up to 16MB (or so) of memory on
the board. Pretty good stuff if you have to run DOS/Windows but you prefer
a Mac. In my opinion, much better than the SLOOOOOOW SoftPC, although they're
also more expensive than SoftPC. (But they're not bad compared to a stand
alone PC.)
BTW, since Orange-Micro made it's way in the world building expansion boards
for Apple II's (and still makes Grappler+ parallel boards), I guess this post
fits in this group.... kinda.... maybe.... so sue me. :-)

(Asked the novice): "And is the Tao in the DOS for a personal computer?"
The master coughed and shifted his position slightly. "The lesson is over
for today," he said. +----------------------------------------------------
