Doug was too polite in the above quote.  To put it a little more clearly:
the high school guidance counselor will also tell you these 'charge for
scholar info services' are an absolute waste of money, verging on a scam.
SAVE YOUR MONEY!  USE THE SERVICES PROVIDED FREE BY THE SCHOOL.
