Announcing the 'Premiere Issue' of Graphics & Sound Magazine OmniSoft Disk
Shareware 'GS MODS', the first and only (SHAREWARE) magazine on a disk devoted
to the IIgs, featuring all graphics, fonts, sound, music file types and formats
!
 
'GS MODS' will be available from all three major (IIgs) on-line services; (AOL)
America Online, GEnie and CompuServe.  The 'Premiere Issue', a special three
disks set, (GS.MODS.V1.D1, D2 & D3) will be unloaded for release to all three
major on-line services on April 5, 1993.
 
While reviewing many issues of both; SoftDisk GS and GS+ magazines on disk, I
realized that they both are great publications and offer a lot to their readers
but,
they don't really have a didicated format for what the G and the S in the IIgs
stand for, namely Graphics & Sound !   I consider the IIgs to be a great home,
business and personal computer for graphics and sound applications.  So, I've
decided to start publishing 'GS MODS', each month as a shareware.
 
I plan to have the following contents in 'GS MODS'; (A)  ALL SHR GRAPHIC
FORMATS,  GS FONTS AND SHR FONT PICTURE FILES FOR THE IIGS, (B)  ALL MUSIC AND
SOUND/SAMPLE FORMATS FOR THE IIGS, (C) ARTICLES AND REVIEWS DEALING WITH ALL
SHR GRAPHICS AND MUSIC/SOUND/SAMPLES, P8,P16,GS/OS SHR GRAPHICS/MUSIC AND SOUND
PROGRAMS.  (D)  NDA'S, CDA'S, PIF, TIF, ETC. AND SO ON.  FILES FOR SHR
GRAPHICS, MUSIC,SOUND AND FONTS.
 
There are an estimated 1,000,341 IIgs in use around the world,  with over
200,000 devoted graphics and sound/music oriented users !
 
I'm asking all of you that read this announcement and want to submit your
original contributions for review and consideration for inclusion in 'GS MODS'
to please send them to me promptly.  I've got enough material for the 'GS MODS'
on hand to allow me to release 4 or 5 issues but, the more I have to review the
better the publication will be with each future issue released.
 
I look forward to your reply, contributions and comments.
