If you're really using SS 1.01, you setup MIDI using the MIDI CDev (Control
Panel) which comes with synthLAB.  If SS finds the MIDI.Setup file and can
load and init the driver it specifies, MIDI is automatically enabled.  I'll
warn you now that SS's MIDI sucks big green fuzzy rocks tho.  (On my Zipped
machine at tempo=6 with midi out enabled, SS 1.01 managed to move a line
every 5 minutes or so...definitely not high performance sequencing).
