No, toggle full screen just change from Full screen to a standard
screen, but it does not hide the GS window. The extra step that I
describe is essentially this, hide and then unhide.

You might not see this as very important, but it is to me. This is the
way I use a full screen Windows on the Mac, it is either Mac desktop,
or Windows desktop.

The flickering issue can be easily solved by not changing resolution.
Basically like how many Windows VM software does on windows -
basically it is the same same screen, window fully zoom out, and no
menu or windows chrome.
