There are no changes to Event Manager journaling from 6.0 to 6.0.1.

There are also no bugs in the official bug database regarding journaling.

If there are bugs, I don't know about them.  I have never tried to use
journaling myself, and it's possible that the conception that it's badly
broken is simply out of date.  If you know of journaling bugs, please
report them to me in detail.
