]['d like to clear up a couple things, here. First, Mike logs on
to GEnie practically every day. At worst, every other day. Second,
since he is always swamped with e-mail, his standard procedure is to
direct people to the A2Pro bulletin board, where he can answer maybe
a dozen similar questions with one post. He intentionally waits a
few days before answering e-mail because 1) it's so backed up it
usually takes him that long to get to all of it, anyway, 2) by the
time he gets to it he's usually answered the question in the bulletin
board already, and 3) with such a high volume of e-mail waiting a
little while to answer e-mail vs. giving instant replies in the
bulletin board gives people incentive to actually POST their question,
where his reply can help out a whole bunch of people all at the same
time. Besides, if he answered everything in e-mail then Matt Deatherage
would yell at him, because Matt runs A2Pro and wants people to post
their questions in public, not send them privately (read Matt's
.signature, lately? :).
][ would expect that Mike follows similar practices on AOL and
CI$ (if he's online there...). If I were in his shoes I'd probably
do the same thing.
