GATO, the cracked version

Now I'm pissed. I've bought GATO, the 8bit world war II submarine game,
twice now and still can't play it. I bought it new when it first came out.
My disk went to silicon heaven awhile back and since it was copy protected
I had no backup. Recently, there was a post to sell several games including
GATO. No problem with the seller, he send everything in good shape. However,
the post office trashed the package, lost one game, and spilled some sort of
liquid onto the GATO disk ruining it. It's not a matter of money, it's just
that I'd like to play the game. Here's what I'm wondering.
Have any of you GATO owners cracked your version? If so I would like to send
you a package containing my original disk as proof of ownership and another
disk for you to copy the cracked version onto. I'll include money for postage
and your trouble of course. I don't use any software that I haven't bought,
I'd just like to be able to use any that I've paid for. Please help.

BTW, speaking of paying for software. I just got a hard disk and it included
Shrink-it. This is a great program!! I want to send the author some cash. Is
the address that comes with Shrink-it still valid?
