To tell you the truth, I don't think that those who have
waiting for C v2.0 will receive the "better" copy. Those who have
found bugs or who beta tested will receive the "better" copy.
I ordered Orca C v2.0 (upgrade) from Mike through Genie and
spoke with him via email. I knew there were problems with the current
C v2.0, so I asked him to hold my order until that version was
released (this was when the $50 upgrade deal was in effect).... his
response was something to the effect that it would be $10 more,
because the update wasn't coming out until after the price went up to
$60 for the upgrade.
My other option was to order the current Orca C v2.0 (for $50), and
order the upgrade for $10 when it was available. But the thing that
was rather lame about the whole deal is Orca C v2.0 (the first
release) is backordered for at least a month. I forget what I told
him, but I believe he is holding my order until the next release comes
out.
I don't know how many orders Mike has for C v2.0, but I know
if I were in his position, I would get a different printer if that is
the hold up. Not answering email is a bad practice too.
