    Hasn't happened to me yet.  I capture messages from 6 networked
conferences on one system and the resulting 300-400K scrollback doesn't
bother Proterm one bit.  It sounds like you are in a borderline memory
situation.  Try booting into ProDOS 8 instead.  That will free up a few
hundred K.  Have you tried just hitting Ctrl-Reset to unlock Proterm?

    No, the editor is limited to 46K or so.  Try ANSITerm 2.0.  It gives
you an editor limited only by RAM (plus all the other goodies, like
colour ANSI, PSE, great VT-100, ZModem, macros, etc.)

    That's a pain on the Mac.  The comm screen in Proterm *is* part of
the scrollback!  Just hit Apple-arrow (try the up or left arrow) and
you'll be placed into scrollback, complete with the scrollbar.  I've
used ZTerm on the Mac and I find it unnecessarily awkward because of the
GUI interface.  I can pop into scrollback and grab the text I want with
Proterm than I can find the damn mouse/trackball with ZTerm.
