A PCMCIA memory card is approximately 8.5 x 5 x 0.3 cm in size; it easily
fits in your hand.  Typical storage sizes are 1, 2 and 4 Mb.  They are
non-volatile memory cards, both writable and readable, though typically you
must erase the card before you can write to it.  Hence they are good as
replacable ROMs or ROM disks.
