  I don't think I need to tell you (but I am), but this defeats half
the purpose of resources. Resource are 1>easy for programmers to edit w/o
recompiling and 2>easy for users w/o the source to recompile.
 
People can rearrange menus, assign key equivs, translate to foreign languages.
I believe the foreign language use was the original motivator of Apple
implementing resources.
