I remember seeing a shareware (or public domain) crossword puzzle
generator available from the Big Red Computer Club in Norfolk, NE. I
bought a copy of it, and the output it produced was very similar to
Crossword Magic's (as I recall). The program was written in BASIC, but
still in the beta version. I don't remember what it was called, but it
ran under ProDOS and required a 128K Apple // (enhanced //e, //c, //c+,
//gs). It also required an ImageWriter (//?) printer, and would not
work with any other type of printer.
I don't have Big Red's address at hand, but they usually advertise in
inCider/A+ about every other month. They have a shareware/public domain
software catalog available, too. You might be able to find this program
in there.
