Need FTP help

Heeeelllllppppp!!!!

I'm new to usenet/internet as I just signed on last week and I can't figure
out how to FTP into other systems. :(

I see FTP being described all the time in the posts, but I've no idea what
is being talked about.  What's FTP?  What's BinSCII?  How do I download
stuff for my IIGS (since right now I'm using a MacIIci to telenet in)?
