Richard,
I am no expert on the super serial card, but the last time I changed
it from printer to modem (or vice versa) I carefully lifted the jumper block
upward (perpendicular to the surface of the board) to remove the block. Once
removed, the block was then shifted 180 degrees and resettled into the holes.
