The slot 5 switch and slot 7 switch are what make the 128 superior to the 
//c.  Set slot5 to external and you can put any card into that left-hand 
slot.  Set slot5 to internal and you can add 1meg of RAM (or 
256/512/768k).  Set slot7 to internal and you can hook up a 3.5", set it 
to external and you can hook up any card to the card expansion box (which 
allows slots 5 & 7)that connects to the slot onthe left side.

There is a patch so AOL can work on a Laser, but I have not personally 
seen it.  I still use my 128/EX while I await a Pegasus for my GS...
