How to undo AppleSingle on Mac?

I've got an AppleSingle archive that I made using ShrinktIt on the //gs
and I want to undo the archive on a Mac. I've searched around and have
found only one program that I _think_ will undo the AppleSingle archives
on the Mac. I ftp'ed a file off apple.com (forgot which directory) called
"applesingle-appledouble-img.sit", it sounds like what I need. The problem
is that after I unstuff'it, I get the file "AppleSingle-AppleDouble.img".
And I can't find any Mac utility (I've tried everything I have, about a
dozen utilities) to do anything with this ".img" file. The filetype is
"SIMA" and the creator is "GEOL". Its about 155k in size. It doesn't
seem to be a disk image either. If anyone can help me solve this mess,
I'ld really appreciate it.
