Re: Yet another System 6 problem?

This is not really a problem, but I was wondering if it is possible to specify
a printer output buffer larger than 10K when printing stuff under AWGS. It
seems that the printer driver is waiting for the IW2 to finish printing before
it begins to 'render' the next few lines. Is this true? If so, would it be
possible in System 6.01 to a) have a new cdev that allows one to have a larger
buffer and b)have the printer drivers use a 'second' buffer where it starts
putting data, then swapping the buffers once the driver determines the older
buffered data has been printed? I have a feeling, though, that the smart
GS programmers at Apple have already addressed this issue. ;)
