Mac LC //e card ProDOS partitions

Does anyone know how the //e card in the Mac LC (and LC II) emulate
drives on a Mac hard disk under ProDOS?

Is a special RAM based driver included, or is there a ROM entry point
in $CN00+($CFFF) in one of the slots?

I'm asking this to determine whether DOS 3.3 Launcher 2.0 will theoretically
work on a Macintosh LC with a //e card.
