Re: GIF89? (was Re: NASA photos online?)

if the gif is a vanilla graphics file, one can sometimes, occasionally,
possibly, perhaps (get the trend here...) display it by bit editting
the header.

Many times though the 89a files contain multiple images, text and graphics,
etc. and the only machines "powerful" enough to handle these things are
MS-DOS or Macs I guess - otherwise someone on an Apple II or Unix box would
have written display software to display them, right? <grin>
