Proboot5.1
I installed proboot5.1 on a copy of prodos 2.0.1 and it works fine except for
one problem, when I hit space bar to skip proboot it crashes and gives a
relocation error.
This is on a 3.25meg rom 1 GS booting a 3.5 in the smart port. I have an 8/16
ZipGS and assorted printer and sound cards installed.
Also, it recognizes the ram disk as a bootable disk but I can't seem to get
it to boot.. This also happens when setting the boot slot to Ram Disk in the
control panel. What files do I need to have on it and what do I need to set
for it to boot properly?
P.S. On a slightly related topic (ramdisks).. I was playing Test Drive 2
which my friend brought over and getting fed up with the HUGE delays we
decided to put it on the ram-disk, I made an 800k ram disk and copied it all
over and renamed the ramdisk and tried quitting to the main executable and
prodos more than once, both times it got part way into the load and said
'memory fragmentation error' and something about being unable to repair it
and then it would freeze. If I booted with a ram disk active at all (even
with a different name) I would get the same error, does anyone have any ideas
why?
(The ram disk was set to 1meg and 800k on the two occasions I tried this so
there was memory left for TD2.)
