I like this idea, but Apple has already said where prefs files belong. I'll
stick to their suggestions. Maybe they'll change.
 
Btw, one place prefs don't belong is in a programs resource fork. MenuTime,
AutoMenus, and KeyClicker do this. I'll stick to their suggestions _in the
future_ is what I meant. It is easier to code but network-unfriendly. It also
avoids extra files.
