Heh, heh.... Well... Besides wasting "valuable bandwidth," I must follow
this post up to fulfill my obligations to Ian. When he gave me MZ, he said
I had to mention it in a flaming post... Well I'm not sure what I can
flame Scot on except that his mother really screwed up and forgot to
put a second "t" at the end of his first name (but then, what can you
expect from a fish?) - I hope that counts as a flame. :-)
Besides, I was feeling too popular on IRC the other night. I *HAVE* to
piss someone off (net-cop alert! Vdub swore!) so I'll have to come up
with something clever (I hope I don't sprain something!). Anyways,
because a lot of people actually complained that Ian was *WASTING* his
talents writing cross platform MOD players instead of something that
could be of more general use to them, he became sullen and withdrawn.
(Yeah, right!) After a good turn of making an offering to the porcelin
god/likeness of Abaddon, divine inspiration reached him in which he
reached back into his childhood and decided that noone would ever see
the funky laser-beam and quadra-scope MOD player's light of day again.
(Bwahahahaaaa...)
So the long and the short of the story is that YOU CAN'T HAVE IT,
at least until Ian grows up, or someone makes some stupendous apology
to him that moves him to the point that he thinks he really is important,
Scha!, and unveils ModZap for the world to once again see (or a handsome
prince comes and kisses him (Abe? - ooops! Sorry, that's Yoshi's job!)
and forever the spell is broken!) Ooops! I just realized that I'm
pissing the WRONG people off! So sorry... ;-)
But ModZap is really cool, and its come a long way... There are some
good early versions out there that have already been released as well,
but the last few are all limited distribution... Now if you see him,
you could ASK NICELY for a copy in which case he might give you one
(pump him up with questions about Mega-Tracker, but don't mention
Tool-35!), or you could always get soniqTracker... :-)
Tschus!
