Alex, please take your Carte-Blanche and your home business and leave this
forum and post your commercial messages in comp.sys.apple2.marketplace where
they belong.
I was assuming that this was some sort of attempt at humour until I read
your previous rant on the subject.
As many other people have pointed out, this newsgroup is hardly what anyone
would describe as "high volume", so I can only presume that you are _far_
busier than everyone else reading this group and thus can't afford the extra
few messages per week that Alex has been posting, keeping people informed
about CB developments.
What I find more annoying than reading a few "commercial" postings (if
indeed they could be classified as such) is having to subscribe to a bunch
of sub-groups when I have absolutely zero interest in sorting through posts
of people selling old Apple II printer cables.
And before it's pointed out that there may only be a few apple-related
sub-groups, and that they're "easy to peruse", I might add that - perhaps
surprising to some - my interests aren't just limited to the apple and I
already subscribe to no less than 18 usenet newsgroups and 25 mailing lists.
CB-related posts are perfectly relevant to _this_ newsgroup. CB is a new
development, and for the most part Alex's posts are more technical than
"commercial" in nature. And it makes more sense that the occasional posting
about orders etc is done in the same place that all other CB-related news is
posted.
It's perhaps telling that you're the _only_ one that has an aversion to
reading about CB in this newsgroup. Doesn't that tell you something?
Regards,
