I'm looking for programmers for the IIGS.
I'm interested in forming a group to get some projects out. This is
for non-profit purposes. So you won't get paid, at least initially.
But what I' thinking about is kind of like a lottery. People pay
membership fees to a become members. These membership dues will then
be rewarded to the programmers. The ideas will be submited by members
in the form of proposals. The proposals will be reviewed by a
committee (yet to be formed). The committee members will be elected
by the members. The committee works closely with the members to
refine their porposals. When a suitable proposal is drafted, the work
contract is issued to the members. Hopefully there will be enough
responses by people to get some projects off the ground.
Initially the there will be a draft paper regulating the interactins
amongst the group. The first committee will be given the task of
comming up with a good constitution.
I hope to hear from you guys soon.
I think this is a realyl good idea if we gave it a chance.
Together we can get some really great software products out. Not to
mention, It's really great for your personal resume to say that you
were involved in this and this product.
I recently graduated last May and I know how people in the industry
think that we college grads don't know anything. I believe that they
do have some valid points, but there's nothing that beats our stamina
and entheusasim. If we can even get some industry guys in on this,
they would be able to help us out in the proposal/documentation phase
a lot.
