    The file may not have had any line breaks.  uEmacs needs CR's at the
end of each line, otherwise it stretches the whole paragraph out on to a
single line.  There is an upper limit to the number of characters per
line.  I got the same error when I tried editing a file created in Teach
and saved as a text file.
