Can someone give me more information on uucp, and whether there is/will
be anything out for the Apple II which will allow the end user of it to
"easily" perform a uucp with an Apple II? I've read about several which are
"coming out RSN" and others which are "only on the drawing board," but I'd like
to know if anything -concrete- is coming out at any time (ie: for SURE).
I've read about UMDSS from the Morgan Davis Group, though I'm not all
that sure if that'll work with what I'm hoping it'll work with (ie: AppleNET
Pro, version 2.0). I've asked Morgan on GEnie, but he didn't answer my
question about it, probably to protect the product until it actually hits the
shelves.
So, for any of those who might be knowledgable about this, does anyone
know if anything will be coming out for the Apple II that will facilitate uucps
by form of either an Applesoft BASIC enhancement or by Unix-box installment
(a la UMDSS)? Any help on this subject is much appreciated.
