Wrong.

HP doesn't put you through this. In fact, HP works just fine with
write-protected disks.

HP's in beta now. I have to add some changes to the UI, but that's about it.
As far as I know there are only a couple of people who have seen them
side-by-side, but their opinions are biased already.
Random numbers:
- MODs were compressing by 20% (went from 11.9MB to 9.4MB)
- TrueType fonts were compressing by 25%
