G'Day.

After many years of successfully using a //c as an all-purpose home
computer, I picked up a second-hand ][e (unenhanced) at a computer auction
(at an amazingly cheap price, too). However, it contained a number of cards
I am unfamiliar with (my previous contact with ][es was over six years ago,
and they always had Apple cards in them).

One card that came with the ][e was a Microsoft Softcard, which I'm
assuming is a CP/M card (due to the Z-80 on it). I tried booting with the
CP/AM disc that came with my //c's Z-Ram, and with a couple of CP/M utilities
discs I've had for a while (which work fine with the Z-Ram) with no luck. I'd
like to be able to run Turbo Pascal on the ][e, so I need to get this CP/M
card up and running. What do the 4 dip-switches do? (The 4 dip-switches are
currently all set in the off position.) Where can I get the appropriate software
to make this card work? What slot should it be in (and does it care)? Any help
would be greatly appreciated. I'm not able to access netnews, so please reply
to the e-mail address below.

Thanks.
