G'Day.
After many years of successfully using a //c as an all-purpose home
computer, I picked up a second-hand ][e (unenhanced) at a computer auction
(at an amazingly cheap price, too). However, it contained a number of cards
I am unfamiliar with (my previous contact with ][es was over six years ago,
and they always had Apple cards in them).
The ][e has a VISION-80 card (Rev. 5) as its 80-column card; coming out of this
card in a lead with an RCA plug (ie typical apple ][e / //c video cable) and
an RCA socket on the end. I tried putting the RCA plug into the video input
of my monitor and using PR#3 to get into 80-col mode, but it didn't work.
How do I get this to work? What does the RCA socket on the end of the
cable do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not able to access
netnews, so please reply to the e-mail address below.
Thanks.
