No, but I experienced this symptom with a friend's IIc, and it was
shielding to the drive from the color monitor. Apparently, the monitor
was radiating down to the drive enough to corrupt the data read off
the heads. You can check by physically relocating the monitor away
from the internal drive. If your finicky disks are no longer finicky,
that's your problem. My friend's IIc was serviced under warrantee, and
I never actually saw the shielding fix.
