Syquest Drive

You can buy a SyQuest without a case and power supply. I believe you can
hook the drive up to the Quadra if you have an empty drive bay, though
I'm not sure how to hook it up to the power supply and SCSI bus.
 
If you plan to use the SyQuest for both your IIGS and Mac, I would
suggest that you buy the case and power supply for the drive. That way
you can use it with either computer, just hook it up to which computer
you use most often. I usually have my SyQuest on my GS, but if I need it
on my Mac I just change the connectors. You can also access your SyQuest
drive from your Mac to your GS via AppleTalk, but this way you would need
both your computers on, and file access is _SLOW_.
 
If you are in the market for removable drive media, I would suggest a
floptical drive. Each disk can hold about 20 megs, and the drive can read
high density 3.5 disks.
 
I'm not sure where you can get the best prices but look in a Mac
magazine, there are lots advertised.
