ProDOS 8 disk full problem

I am familiar with Applesoft but not with the monitor. While I recognize
the
commands as monitor commands, how do you suggest getting to the monitor to
execute these commands without causing damage or changes to the memory
areas
we're trying to capture? I have had the infamous "ERROR 9" while running
Warp
Six (ProDOS 8) on a //e. I would bet it will happen again.
