   Not Really When I was a Tech Student at Control Data Institute a few
years back.  We were told that yes the information we were being taught
would enable us to do component level repairs but that the market as a
whole was gearing toward ""Board Swaps""  Because it was simply cheaper to
replace the board and send the bad unit back to the people that built it
and let thier ""Experts"" handle it..  Sorry It wasn't just relegated to
the MACs
