When you run the emulator, make sure you press numlock once.
The joystick should then work with the emulator.
That version of the joystick code is pretty crude, but it works.
I am still having a difficult time getting performance out of the
joystick bios function. If anybody knows a better method, I'd love
to hear it. Possibly something that hooks into the timer interupt
so I wouldn't be burning CPU time (like the bios does) counting
down in a loop.
Also, the joystick "patch" doesn't work very well with the more sensitive
games like Rescue Raiders because the joystick values are scaled
from 0-64 to 0-255 and you lose a bit of accuracy in the process.
I have been able to tweak it a bit so I could play RR , but you
really have to play with the centering on that game.. But
with the beta version of the joystick patch, you can play games
like StarBlazer without any problems...
