I know; caveat emptor (or whatever) to anyone forcing the Apple driver onto
some other drive. Is the driver you found in the public domain?

I no longer have the Chinook utils (and didn't when this occurred). The 8-bit
utils that I mentioned that were willing to format the drive were the 8-bit
utils that came with the Apple DMA SCSI card.
