Dunno.  My best guess is to read the directory block of each volume on
the SmartPort until you find the one you want.

The device numbering is independent of device type.  The boot drive is
always unit number 1.  There is a diagram in the Firmware reference
manual that describes the method by which the ID numbers are assigned
to other devices.
You potentially have six drives on the IIgs's SmartPort: two Apple 3.5
Drives, two UniDisk 3.5 drives, a RAM disk (RAM5) and a ROM disk
(ROM5).  In this case, they would be numbered 1 through 6 (but I'm not
sure which order).

Although the 5.25" drives are physically connected to the SmartPort,
they are NOT accessed through the SmartPort firmware.  ProDOS has an
internal driver that is used for all 5.25" drives.  From the
computer's point of view, they are connected to slot 6.
