Beta Testers Needed
The following is a re-post found on a local bbs:
From Charlie Hartley, author of Computer Keyboarding

I'm looking for some people to beta test a new version of my Computer
Keyboarding program. This version is very much like my earlier versions except
that it combines some of the characteristics of each version.
Specifically, this version allows multiple users on the same disk; and is
usable on a hard disk, on a 3.5 disk, or on two 5.25 disks. Not included on
this version are the lessons on typing paragraphs. These lessons are
incorporated in a new program that I have uploaded and called Intermediate
Typing.
This version will be uploaded as shareware when I'm satisfied that most
of the bugs are gone. That's where you come in.
I need testers who will test the program for me in one of the following
formats:
on two 5.25 disk drives
on one 5.25 disk drive
on one 3.5 disk drive
on a hard drive in a subdirectory
In return, I will provide you with a free copy of the final program and
with my gratitude.
It doesn't matter whether you use an Apple //e, IIGS, //c, or Laser. The
program should run on all of them. It would probably be useful to both of us
if you are using the program because you need to learn how to type, but it is
not necessary.
If you want to be a beta tester for this project, send me an E-mail
letter on GEnie to C.HARTLEY3 or regular mail at

Tell me your configuration: type of computer and disk drives; and the
format you want to use (see list above). Include your mailing address. I will
confirm with you by E-mail and then send you the necessary disk(s) by U.S.
mail. If we need to correspond about bugs, I will cover all of your postage.
I believe that most of the bugs are already gone. However I don't have
the time to go through the program in each format to insure that. The changes
made in this version mostly have to do with moving from one file to the next
one. The main parts of each file remain the same and are already very stable.
I hope to hear from a number of you in the very near future.
... Charlie
