Maybe months, or years, from now, the whole story will come out. Let's just
say that I think (notice, I say think because I really don;t know) that when
the new editor was hired, that he actually thought he had the power to make
changes to the magazine. I guess that he forgot that he had to "go through
channels".

Now, that's not to say that there aren't going to be changes to inCider.
There might very well, but at this point, your guess is as good as mine.
