Resource Manager

I wish there was a resource manager call "CompressResFork" or
something like that. Since this doesn't yet exist, or doesn't
look like it ever will, does anyone have some source (only if
it's relatively small) that will do this?

I want it from Scrapbook 2.0 which has the nasty habit that
after you paste in a large piece of scrap data and then
remove it, the Resource map has been moved to the end of
the file, so the resouce fork still ends up being rather
large.

Alternatively, does someone have a solution to this problem
that doesn't involve shuffling stuff around in the resource
fork?
