I had tried to post this a couple days ago but somehow the body
of the text didn't show up, only my .sig got through.

The following is an answer I received when I asked about the Inwords up
date. I had asked about it a year earlier in June ;91 and received
  basically the same answer.

The InWords v1.1 update is now in final beta testing. We are unable to
give a specific release date because of the unpredictability of the
testing process. If no problems are discovered, then the update will be
available very soon. However, if a difficult bug is found, it could
  delay the update several weeks.

We appreciate your patience while we ensure the quality of the update.
All registered users will receive notification by mail when it is
  released.

We have found that the vast majority of InWords users do not have any
significant problems using the current version, but this is highly
dependent on the type of material being scanned, as with any OCR process.

If you have a problem with the current version that they can't work
around, please give us a call, we can probably help.
