Re: ATTENTION high-speed modem users!
Well, I was having the same problems with CTS/Zmodem uploads... PT3
would keep on sending regardless of the state of CTS, the modem's
buffer would overflow, and I'd get tons of ZRPOS errors. After talking
to some people on IRC about this, Brendan told me about the problem
with the Motorola chip and the fix for it. So, I opened up my GS, took
a look at my 26LS32, and whaddaya know? It's a Motorola! Anyways,
after experimenting with a couple of resistors, I found that a 270 ohm
resistor did the job for me; PT3 stops sending when my modem's buffer
fills, I can upload without any problems, and I get cool xfer rates of
about 1550 cps :-)
BTW, according to the Hardware Reference, the modem port's 26LS32 is
labelled UC13 in a ROM 3 GS...
