Need printer testers

Hello all...

Well with help from those on the net...(special thanks to David Empson)
I have my PCPI Laser Printer working with my GS. To recap...

I am using the Laserwriter driver to print a postscript file to disk
and then sending that file out the serial port to the printer.

Everything is fine except after about 10-15 pages the printer stops
printing. The handshaking stops working also (the printer's DTR never
goes low anymore).

I thought this was a cable or interface problem but I can send the SAME
POSTSCRIPT file to the printer with it emulating an HP II and get the
whole file to transfer...resulting in about a 200 page text file instead
of a nice 20 page postscript file.

After sending that much data I doubt it is an interfacing/cable problem
and is more likely something is wrong with the printer's POSTSCRIPT
interpretter. To be SURE that is the problem I need some test printers
though.

*****************************

Would anyone be willing to have me send you a 150-200k POSTSCRIPT file
and have you print it on your system?? The printer manufacturer swears
there must be something wrong with my file that is lousing up the printer.

If it prints on your system though I know the file is OK, and the problem
is in the printer's interpreter circuit.

Thanks in advance...
Fred
